200 million to protect the underware bomber.
Several days ago Obama announced he was going to approprate either 200 or I think, 220 million to whatever city the underwear bombers trial is going to be held in for security!!
If it was a military trial I doubt it could be a fraction of that. Do you have any idea how many farmers and blue collar workers it would take a lifetime of paying taxs to pay just that?

I really do not understand how this can happen. It shouldn't happen this way and is unacceptable.

It's nuts - if they insist on somewhere other than Gitmo, it should be the capital city of the state that accepts it - in the courthouse closest to the governor & legislature of that state.

I think the 200 Million is for the NYC trial of those 5 or 6 other creeps. Or whatever city they decide on.
But when the so called 'Fruit Of Kaboom" bomber goes on trial it will be another 200 million.

The cost is estimated at 200 million a YEAR, not for the whole trial.
My question is "Since they've admitted guilt, why is there a trial anyways?" Can't their lawyer Eric Holder, just stand before the judge with them, and accept sentencing?

Meantime the POTUS and his henchmen are doing their level best to prejudice any potential jury. Bring the guilty SOB in and we will give him a fair trial and put him to death.
His defense team has to love this.
Then they say don’t worry; if a judge throws the case out, he won’t walk. Oh really, what do we do then pray tell?
At least when Stalin had show trials, the end was not in doubt. This bunch of incompetents couldn’t pour p*** out of a boot. They thought perhaps it wouldn’t cost money?

Let's suspend all trials until the budget is balanced!
No nasty appeals, either!

We should just do what he wanted in the first place... Have a bomb squad take him to their range pack his shorts with 10lbs of C4 and BOOM. Problem solved for cheap.

It's $200mil for security around Manhattan, not the trial proceedings. It would not matter to liberals if it was $billions ... what matters is that the security efforts will inconvenience them.

There's about 150 million working Americans, $200 mil is what, a buck and a quarter each. Drop in the bucket. Now that $3 7/8 TRILLION budget, that's some real money. Joe

Give me a can of Kingsford charcoal starter, a box of Ohio blue tip's and 1/2 an hour. Save the tax payers all but the costs of the combustibles and have the questions answered both at once.
BTW: The answers would be in a falsetto...while they lasted.

I know Merril, I heard this the other day and had to take more blood pressure meds.
The guy is a terrorist so he could be dealt with at Guantonimo in a military tribunal without additional cost. It's just nuts.
This guy (you know) makes Jimmy Carter look like a genious.
