Butler, where I live, is 100 miles South of Atlanta. Cordele is the Watermelon Capital, probably 160 miles South of Atlanta on I-75.

Three inches of snow is a pretty big deal for us. I will probably go by the grocery store and help with the bread/milk shortage, although I eat very little bread and drink almost no milk. I just want to do my part.

Hopefully, we won't have a storm like we did 37 years ago on this date, when I measured 21 inches of snow in a field on my farm.

Only looking for a "dusting" here. I remember '73 well. We had over 30"! A lifetime event for S.C.

Ah, it's very unusual when places south of Macon get snow!

Welcome to global warming, Red.

It sounds likely that you'll get more snow that we will, or at least that's the way it usually works- when south Georgia gets it, we don't.

Be careful! Stay home if possible, or go down to the hardware store in Butler and get some more "supplies."

It should be a little easier on you folks down south, your hills aren't nearly as steep! The last little bit we got up here shut the schools down for two days.
