SCCY 9m/m?
I knew very little about these guns, but a guy at work brought one in to show me and I was pretty impressed. SCCY is apparently a Florida company started by some guys at Kel-tec who invented the P-11 9m/m and now have their own company and an improved design that has a thumb safety and a better trigger. The trigger on my buddies gun was really smooth with no stacking and did not seem too long, and I've heard the Kel-tec P-11 trigger is pretty long and hard. The sights, controls, feel, and overall quality was really good for a pistol that sells for under $235 bucks and looked like a more polished product than a Kel-tec. It came with two magazines and a finger extension base pad, so if the reliabilty is there it should be a bargain. I heard SCCY brought this gun out too early and had some initial quality problems but does anyone know if the current issue guns have had quality issues?

I've seen some good reviews on the latest SCCY 9mm. It's the SCCY CPX-2 2nd generation. From what I understand the CPX-2 doesn't have a safety and is a double action. They go anywhere from $250-$350 new. I'm considering getting one, however they seem to be hot items now. If I could find one for the right price, I may just have to have one. MJ

Great guns! They belong right next to Lorcin, Jennings, Jiminez, phoenix, and a few others.

I just purchased a gen 2 model. over 500 rounds and perfect. The first gen had alot of issues. Combat Handgun magazine just did a review and it was all positive. The price was right, it much smoother then my LC9. It not even close to a jennings, lorcin or any in that range. I would say go for it. Its a great piece

That's good to hear, I just got a new one! It's the CPX-2 9mm Gen 2 no safety two tone. Ran two full magazines (20rds) through it and it was perfect! We'll see how it goes with this compact 9mm. Now my M&P 9mm has a little brother. MJ

I handled one at a show last week $259. I was sorely tempted. Looks like a Kel-tec p11 copy. Trigger is wider and nicer than the p11. Does it take S&W 12-15rd mags like a p11?
