PA residents: Son to Father gifting?

I was hoping some fellow PA residents could help me out here. My question is likely silly, but I'll ask anyway.....

I know the law states a handgun can be gifted father to son, but can it be gifted from son to father? My son has a 686 he wants to give me and we want to do it legit.

from what I understand as long as you are both of legal age wouldn't that be more of a face to face transfer with no money involved?

IIRC, PA requires FTF to be done via FFL.

JT, your best bet is to call whomever administers pistol permits in your area. My guess is that the laws simply say "between family members" or some such when it comes to gifts.

Under "PURCHASE".

Doesn't say "FROM parent TO child", it says "BETWEEN parent AND child". Goes either way.
