Anybody Notice?
Has anyone noticed, there are invariably more people viewing the lounge than any other forum? I sure like to hang out at this place.

Where else can you say what you want to, and not have the spouse correct you?

There's always something good to read in here. I pick through the other forums daily, and can always find the answers I need in them, but this remains the place to kick off my shoes and put my feet up... but not on the coffee table, because Dad will get MAD!

It makes sense, because of the huge variety of subjects that may be discussed. Everyone should find something here of interest to them.
The Lounge is also where you discover and benefit from the widely varied expertise residing in the membership. Mechanics, HVAC people, machinists, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, photographers, engineers, lawyers, LEOs -on and on it goes(I dare not forget all the 5-star cooks, either).

And welders. I always wanted to work in a candle factory, but I don' like to work on wickends.

But if you post and give your opinion on a subject and your spouse isn't on here to read it, are you still wrong?

In addition to above - the basic dwell time is a major factor. I can go thru most other parts of S-W with a quick look, but the Forum has a number of threads to read or scan. SWAG 35-40% of my time in S-W is in the Forum

The lounge may, at any given time be brimming with exorbitant amounts superfluous malarkey, serious discussions about life, the occasional bashing or promotion of off-brand firearms and some of the best fellers a forum could ask for...
Except for Cajun that is.
He is good, but the feller part....

I love the lounge section of the forum. Some of the best friends I've never met hang out here. We're pretty much like-minded on most matters of importance, too. There is a wealth of knowledge and support on almost any subject, and that's been a really appreciated boon to me from time to time. Good show, guys and gals. Keep on truckin' in the forum!

I belong to a few other gun and machinery forms the thing that makes me spend the most time here is the limits that the gorilla has set .other places the language ,and the WILD opinions are allowed ,here the discourse is pleasant or at least controlled . Don't get me wrong opinions ARE expressed but in a manner that is not spitefully & mean , we all seem to be able to agree to disagree and the jokes are great along with the information .

The forum is kind of like a gun show. If you're not looking at guns, you're shooting the bull. There are plenty of dead virtual bulls around here, but they keep on coming. I like it.

Kind of reminds me of the original Culver's Shooting Page. I see one or two of the names here on the new one, but total viewing for the 'CrackerBarrel' is in the single digits.
This site is the best!
