Need a opinion...
Ok guys give me you opinion here. I am getting ready to sell my old 4X4 pickup and am not quite sure what to ask for it. I have done some research online but cant find one in similar shape and with as few miles as it has. What would you pay for this...
1994 K1500 4X4 Chevy
Power windows, power locks, auto OD trans, 115K miles, Penda bed liner, it also has newer Mickey Thompson Baha ATZ's on it. Also a Flowmaster muffler, Vent visors, step bars, and a Airaid cold air kit. Very little rust (a couple of tiny spots). Nice interior. Runs and drives like a new pickup.
I really hate to even sell it but I have a 07 Silverado and really don't need 2 pickups.

In that shape with that many miles / age... around here I'd say I could see it going for about $4,000.. maybe a little more. I guess that depends on the area.. Used trucks are always for sale around here.

I sold my 1991 Explorer Sport 4x4 for $1800. Had 205,500 miles. Bought a 2007 Ford Ranger 4x4. My friends all have new Dodges & Fords, all 4x4's.Most are diesels.

Here in PA I'd think that would being more than 4K since it's 4WD and clean.. And those miles aren't that high and that's an easy truck to work on...
Pricing on trucks has a lot to do with Locale and in PA 4WD tend to hold their value pretty well.

Yeah that was what I was thinking. 4X4s around here seem to do pretty well also. That and it seems that most of these had 305s in them and this one has the 350. I would think that would help. Thanks for the input.

I came across a 2001 Dakota 4x4 yesterday at a local dealer (this thread made me want to look at trucks )....
Zero rust, as clean as new inside, 56k miles: $6,000
(I may take it home, by the way!)

Google "Kelly Blue Book." It has a configuration tool to input your vehicle specs. and come up with a price range, either for private sale value, or dealer trade in value.

Up here in Central New York State, Pennsylvania vehicles bring a premium. Up here, they salt the roads, HEAVILY, in the winter time. Vehicles just don't last. A typical 1994 truck around here has severe rust...on the frame, body, brake lines, etc. Yes, I know... another reason to hate New York.
I'm looking for a used truck right now...been looking, no luck...$4000.00 around here gets you a high mileage piece of junk.
I found a nice Pennsylvania truck....2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a short box...nice solid body, ran good...but when I pulled the dip-stick, it was down about three quarts and the oil that WAS barely touching the dip-stick was black as tar.
The "Cash for Clunkers" program dried up the used truck market...so the junk that remains is over-priced.

I checked the blue book and it lists it as $4100. So I think I will ask $4000 and see what happens. Thanks again for the input guys.
