Default ORCHIDS IN THUN - 56K and slower do not open! -

The small city of Thun is all two years the center of the orchidfriends of Switzerland. The presentations of the different Orchid-clubs are breathtaking.
This are some picture from 03/20/2010. Its a small choice of over 400 made pictures. We reduced the size only to ca. 1000 x 750. We hope you like what you see.

Beautiful,I have a few orchids. They are easy to grow here in South Florida.I'm always ammazed at the commitment it takes to grow them in a controled enviroment.

They're beautiful! It must take a lot of dedication and patience to cultivate them.

I have one and it only blooms every two years and only after we threaten to throw it out.

Beautiful Displays, Very good photographs, I suspect it was a difficult place to take photographs. Congratulations on the good work!

Well NCTexan, that was a to great compliment. Most of the pictures were made with this small but tough camera. This camera
is for longer than two years no more in production.
Olympus Stylus 770 SW digital camera specifications: Digital Photography Review

The last six pictures was taken by Swisswife with her almost new Sony Alpha 350. She's still learning about all the bells and whistles of this camera.
Here are some more from her album. (Because they are pretty and because she asked me: "Why only six?")

Swisswife is really proud about her first offically presented pictures.
