Harris-Teeter
I found out yesterday that the Harris-Teeter stores have a "no concealed weapons" sign on their doors so I sent them a nice but to the point email.
Today I got this,
"Thank you for reaching out to our company. We understand your concerns and are currently removing the signs from our stores. Thank you for shopping at Harris Teeter."
I'd like to take the credit but I'm sure they were overwhelmed with emails.
Back to Harris-Teeter!

Sign - sign - everywhere a sign
Thanks for taking the time. I have sent mail to a few with less results.
Thanks

Congrats on a job well done. Take the credit, it's yours.
I ignore those signs and abide by my state laws. Concealed is concealed and it may be a companies wish, but it is none of their business what is concealed on my person.

That issue really blew up around here last week or 2, but HT has already pulled the signs out of all of their stores.
They are adopting the stance of Wal-Mart and Starbucks and abiding the rules of the state the store is in.

In NC, those signs are all that is needed to prohibit concealed carry. Plus I think private companies should have every right to ban what they want on their property, just as you can choose to shop elsewhere.
That's one reason I did not shop at HT when I lived in NC (plus they want to make themselves "upscale" which started with higher prices on the same items).

Sparky, which store? I'm overseas right now but in Greensboro when I'm home. I shop almost exclusively at H-T due to convenience/location. You'd never catch me in a grocery store unarmed!

JayCee, I read about it on the green forum. I think it was all NC stores.
Be safe over there!

Thanks, Sparky. I don't recall seeing the signs before, must have been something new.

This was also posted on the Sig Forum board and I sent them an e-mail also and I got a reply back in less than 2 days. They are already pulling the signs down. Apparently they have had an overwhelming amount of customers eamil them. So since they are responding in such a timley and favorable manner to their customers is a double plus for them as far as I am concerned.
