As promised here is what we have found out so far.
Still no direct contact with the family or the grand kids.
Some time late last summer Abbie had a double transplant, She received a new heart and kidneys. Her computer/facebook page says that she is progressing well and recovering.
That is all that we know at this time. I will update again when I know something new.
We really appreciate all that the good folks here have done for the kids and all of the Prayers. It is truly a blessing to have good friends and neighbors.

There is nothing in this world I love more then my Granddaughter, I would die if anything happened to her.

+2 I know this has to be troubling to you. There is so little time in this life that should be wasted on bickering and squabbling, but quite a few fail to get the memo.

Glad to hear that she is doing well. As I was posting EB's update I thought of Abbie and wondered about her outcome. God bless her and prayers for healing of all involved.

Thom, thank you for the information. I have wondered about Abbie over the last few months, but I never knew how to ask about her in light of the communication problems you have reported.

I continue to wish the best for her, her parents, and the entire extended family. This situation cannot have been anything other than stressful for everyone.

Thom, thanks so much for posting this. I have been saying prayers for her every day since you first posted about her illness. I cannot tell you how much it means to hear that she is still fighting.
