Bought my wife a set of S&W branded armored 8 x 32 binoculars on clearance about 2-3 years ago. No markings on them other than "SWB832 and "made in Japan". They're a pretty good, clear glass, although 8X is more than I care for; I like my little 6X Nikons better.

Any ideas on who made these and when they were being marketed?
