Road trip!!
The road trip is coming up this Thursday. The three of us,wife, Pixie(Doxie) and me, are headed east. Montana, Wyoming and Minnesota, are the stops. Great Falls, Billings, Cody and Red Wing. Eats, visits, relaxing and powder burning. Been a long time for the later. So long can't 'member when. At any rate retirement isn't going to be wasted. Will be in touch all the time.

Montana is very nice right now. We have had a cool and WET Spring. We are seldom this green! You should enjoy some nice scenery on the trip.

Don't forget to stop at Wall Drug as you go through South Dakota. I think it's state law....

I will second the wet part. I am going over to MT this coming weekend, an annual trip to visit friends who live on the Missouri between Great Falls and Helena. We usually get in some lazy rafting every day, but this year the river is running high and fast so it may be a weekend without the rafting.

The River IS high...but not dangerously high. Below the Dearborn it's murky and has a bit more debris floating.
Then again with RAIN predicted today and tommorow...Who knows ??
I'm located just 1/2 mile downriver of where the Dearborn comes in. We are the only Ranch off to the south. Stop for a visit.

When heading back to Minne-snoda don't forget to stop before you get there and pick up some Cutters - to repel the state birds. Uff-Da

Figure on one full day at the museum in Cody. I'd drive the Beartooth highway out of Red Lodge if you haven't seen it before.

That's about an hour and a half of my life I'd like back. Along with the hundreds of miles filled with their eyesore billboards. Well, I shouldn't be so harsh, the buffalo mouse pad I'm using now came from there...oops. Make that an hour and twenty minutes wasted, ten spent well.
Cody is definitely worth a stop though.

Not long now. Leaving a little after 10am tomorrow, circle the wagon in Spokane, whip it toward Billings. Heard they had softball hail and other unnecessary weather. Can't wait to get there, but will take it easy getting there.

I am sitting in an RV park in Glasgow right now stopped because of high winds (up to 60mph). We have been on the road 2 weeks and are coming back from where you are headed. It has been mostly pretty poor driving conditions with lots of rain and thunderstorms. We did have 3 wonderfull days in Cody, kinda makes up for the rest. Sure hope you have better weather.

Got to Billings, MT, a few hours after a tornado hit the east end. The Billings Gazette - Montana & Wyoming News. I'm safe. Another storm coming tomorrow. Go to storm news and pix.
