Anyone own these as pets or working dogs? I have a question about them. Thanks.

I have a female Blue Heeler that I got when she was a 6 week old pup. Ruthie is 8 years old now and has been one of the finest dogs I've ever had. Very smart, loyal, protective and she is the queen around my house.

My roofer has one. It is a very friendly dog and it will stay on the toolbox in the bed of his pickup while he works. people come over and he likes to be petted. Some times the roofer would let him up on the roof while he worked. I have seen the dog at his home and it is very energetic there. If I did not have 2 terriers now, I would consider one.

Go to http://www.petfinder.com and look for one there before you buy one. You may save a live and get a great pet at the same time. I found over 3000 listed for the state of Alabama.
