Default Local Flea Markets

Who else loves going to the flea market? My local fair grounds has a flea market every Sunday morning. Two or three times a year I find a great deal, well today was one of those days! Paid 100 for this box and did not even dicker with the seller, just paid the money!

What else do you buy at the local sales?

Hope everyone is having a great fathers day.

I have found lots of militaria stuff at flea markets. Mostly items that family members found after the passing of an old soldier and they didn't really know what they had.

So where's the gun?

You telling us you paid $100 for a ratty old box, a set of gun handles, and a screwdriver too small for honest work? Boy, did they ever see you coming.

Wait till I up and die. My wife will probably have a yard sale to clean out that kind of old junk. I hear Charlie reads the local Obits in my region. He knows Thursday night is trash night, and he figures he'll drive up from MS to help her empty all the junk!

Around here, we've got the Rogers Market. Actually, it's over in Ohio, just accross the state line. I believe that eventually everything winds up at Rogers. Wayyy back when, I used to enjoy loading the kids up in an old F-100 on Friday nights in the summer time and perusing the indigenous culture. We'd always have some of that good, fresh-squeezed lemonade and lots exotic and mysterious junk food. The kids loved it. However, for some inexplicable reason the Mrs. started taken a dim view of the whole enterprise and I had to give it up. Just couldn't explore all the nooks and crannies where all the really good stuff hangs out with a whining and kvetching woman pulling me away after a only a couple of minutes. ....sigh.
Looks like you did very well. I might have to sneak out and pay Rogers a visit one of these Fridays. -S2

Your exact address is what now? Just kidding......that is too far to drive. How about I give you my address and the "old junk" could just be shipped straight to my door. I know I'm all heart.

Yep , I try to hit the local farmers and flea market every weekend. Good farm fresh meats , fruits and veggies. Some of the regular junk sellers buy storage units that people default on and sell the contents. Sometime some shooting related stuff comes up. Just this past Sunday , I got 6 brand new 30rd Brownells AR15 mags , for $50. A few weeks ago , I got a whole bunch of old ammo and reloading stuff , including several boxes of Fiocchi .455 Webley and Dominion .455 Eley ammo , for $80.
