Hopefully:
This is just a vindictive ex-girlfriend trying to get back at him.

Ex-girlfriend made the accusation, court has sealed the proceedings, what's next? Perhaps an announcement all charges dropped with a settlement and no admission of guilt?

Am not a fan of the show but hope he's acquitted... unless of course he's guilty.

My thoughts also!
I never liked the way they showed full auto and other types of special guns. Made it look like you could just walk into a gun store and buy that stuff just by having money. Spent very little time talking about the law.
Serious charges lets see how it plays out!

Not much information. Spiteful people can ruin your whole life and there is not much you can do to prevent it.

Why should they talk about the law, they're not lawyers? If anyone walks into a store looking to buy one they will quickly learn what the laws are.

I suppose the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" is out the window for him since he likes guns. Sigh.....

Perception by the uniformed out there. They think the worst of gun people and think those kind of guns are available easy. Think of what the media has done changing the definition of assault weapons and the people take it as gospel.
I never cared for that show and some others because of that but to get back on topic, I just hope this is just some sort of frame up.

I've worked a bunch of these. Very difficult to get charges filed on nothing more than a he said she said case. Stay tuned.

In fact somebody on the show wanted an NFA item and was told the law.
I'm not a fan either. I'd rather watch ten hours of "Triggers" than ten seconds of "Sons of Guns".

Odds are those people aren't watching this type of show. And if they did, nothing they saw would change their perceptions.

Just the other day I heard a TV doctor (Dr. Phil) say that perception was reality. So if you show gun people to be overly casual about weapons, that must be the way it really is.
You do know the BATF accused him of improperly tracking weapons, he maintaining it was a records problem. Nobody got arrested, but-
He lost his license and control of his company.

Isn't it funny....
Isn't it funny that the breakup occurs then the charges come? Hayden is much better off without that one.

Maybe Not?
There are enough cases of innocents accused of sex crimes out of spite that I'll give him the benefit of doubt until such time as a jury renders a verdict.
Today, petting a child across the back of the head can bring a charge of child molestation in some jurisdictions.
If he's ultimately convicted of a felony, say goodbye to the gun shop.

I remember when that "Perception is reality" mantra was in full cry.
No, it isn't never was, and never will be.
Reality is--get ready for it--reality.
Kipling: "Gods of the Copybook Headings"
As I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.
We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn
That Water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorillas while we followed the March of Mankind.
We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
Being neither cloud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market Place;
But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.
With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch,
They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch;
They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings;
So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "Stick to the Devil you know."
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "The Wages of Sin is Death."
In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: "If you don't work you die."
Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four —
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man —
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began: —
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

Crimes against nature have their roots in common law which Americans inherited, or borrowed, from the British.
As for the prosecutor saying what needs to be said, only relatively recently do some people (we can call them non-prudes, I suppose) not understand what is meant by a crime against nature.

Alan Turing broke the Enigma code in WWII, an act which Churchill said was the single biggest contribution to Allied victory in the war. He had a great many other developments and discoveries during and after the war.
Later in life he was convicted of 'gross indecency' because he was 'found out' as a homosexual. He underwent 'chemical castration' which permanently damaged him. Because of the conviction his security clearance was revoked and later he died of suspected suicide at the age of 41. In 2009 the Prime Minister made a public apology and the Queen gave him a posthumous pardon. I'm sure Turing thanked them from the bottom of his heart.
PS Turing is widely considered to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.

I doubt he was charged based on the ex-girlfriend's word alone.
I work a lot of these. Standard procedure is a forensic interview of the kid. No disclosure means no charges. A good forensic interviewer can spot a coached kid pretty quickly.
The sealed charging document is standard too in kiddy cases.
I don't know any specifics on this one, but the DA's office would be aware this was going to be a high profile case and I'd be surprised if their duckies weren't well aligned.

I think the guilty until proven innocent is because he is a reality show "star". Folks don't really care what kind.

Not a fan of the show either, or most "reality " shows but I do know he lost his FFL a few years ago. One of his employees is the FFL holder. He was the main reason I don't watch that show.

At first I thought Son's of Guns was a good show...Then it became a soap opera starring his daughter and her not to bright boyfriend....To bad it had at least been interesting....All the Drama ruined it in my opinion...

Knowing Will and the way he treats most of his customers. I don't think many of us locals care about the outcome. In fact it's probably best close the doors over at RJF. There are some much better builders here in this city that make RJF look like a bunch of blind men trying to build guns.
Ex gf pulling a fast one or maybe even just some stupid publicity stunt. Either way it goes, noone really cares.

Don't like the show, don't like the cast. Don't know anything about the case but how often have we seen charges like this show up on the front page. Then when the charges are proven to be false and all charges are dropped it would be lucky to make the last page if at all. Scared to death of bitter women.

Never have understood the appeal of the show.
You have this crotchety old man that owns the business. You have an employee that is almost covered with tattoos. You have an employee that is a total idiot. Only the old man knows anything at all about the business, and whenever any of the employees tries to do something without specific guidance, they screw up, and the old man yells at them.
Sons of Guns, right? No, wait. That's Pawn Stars. No it isn't. It's Orange County Choppers. No, my bad. It's American Restorations.
They are all the same show.

Here's the thing that is confusing to me, based on a quick search of the 'net, the only daughter he has is the adult daughter who works with him and is on the show. She's at least in her mid 20's now. Is there a 2nd daughter who is not part of the show? If there isn't, this really smells of retribution by the ex employee (that's how the article I read described the accuser).

Her accusations could be false. There have been many persons lives ruined by false accusations. If false the accuser should go to jail and if not then he need jail. We'll have to see what happens. Even if found no evidence and case dismissed, the damage has already been done. I'm sure his show will be canceled and the only thing people will remember is he was arrested for molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature, even if they didn't occur.
"Sheriff’s deputies arrested Hayden on Friday based partly on accusations made by a woman who told investigators that on Aug. 4 she saw Hayden inappropriately kissing the girl while he was undressed, according to a deputy’s statement attached to the warrant for Hayden’s arrest. C. Frank Holthaus, Hayden’s attorney, said the accusations were made by a woman who Hayden recently fired from a job at his gun shop with no romantic relationship."
We'll have to see how it turns out, gun shop, you know it will be in the news forever. And fear not if when his show is canceled I'm sure they will find another stupid reality show to replace it.

I watched it a few times and whistled to myself. Hoo boy, there are some dumb ones there.
I also read that Will Hayden (guy who owns the place) lost his FFL (for various reasons, which should have landed him in jail) and was operating under the FFL of the guy who ended up leaving (Vincent Buckles). Will is also not even an officer in the company he supposedly "owns".

So let's review- Will don't really own or operate a gun shop or gun company.
But he 'pretends' to on reality TV.
Yep! That's reality all right. I would know it anywhere!

Sons of Guns, right? No, wait. That's Pawn Stars. No it isn't. It's Orange County Choppers. No, my bad. It's American Restorations.
They are all the same show.

Now there is a on the spot observation....Well said!.....All those at one time good informational shows turn into soaps...Sad commentary on what the producers think of us the viewing community.
