Check your pockets!
Ya know how we always teach to check every gun TWICE to be sure it's unloaded? Well, we should have the same rule for checking our pockets before tossing laundry into the washing machine.
My BUG's spare Bianchi Speed Strip with five Winchester SWCHP+P rounds.

Man, that's some washing machine (or dryer). I once washed and dried a speed strip of .38 Spl Glasers in a laundromat. I fired them the next day from my Model 37 and put all in the black at 25 yards.

I found that out when I worked LE.
You would be amazed at what dry cleaning fluid does to those speed strips. (It makes them crumble and fall apart.)

I carry one of those in my off hand hip pocket, 24/7. One is in my pocket as I speak.
Yes, I've put one of them through the washing machine!

Hello,
The sweet wife keeps a small wooden bowl
(one of those little salad dishes)
on top of the dryer just for extra clean ammo and spare change...
Works for me.~Smiley~

Steve, you can probably find your 6th round with that missing sock from a year ago.

Been there and done that. The first 4 I would shoot for practice, but that last one NO thanks!
