Post Badger Handy Box

An individual corresponded to me today about a post the I made in 2004, looking for a Badger Handy Box and a Hamilton Zip Box. He said that he has found a Badger Handy Box in his father's house and sent pictures. His father recently died at age 89. It is fully loaded with cartridges and a full box. They are corroded and have been in there for many years. The cartridges have a diamond stamped on the base. His father was a WW2 B19 pilot that was shot down in the Pacific and was rescued by a submarine.

He wants to sell the box and ammo. I asked for a price and he asked what I would give for it. The label inside is faded. but otherwise it looks good.

Has anyone seen one for sale recently? I have no idea what they are worth. I want to be fair with this gentleman, especially since he was kind enough to contact me and because of the provenance.

Please send me some idea of its worth. Now if I could only find a Hamilton ZIP Box.

Many Thanks,

medxam

I've seen a couple sell on ebay between $30-$50.

The diamond headstamp is Western Xpert.
