Had the pleasure of experiencing a similar performance in a quality venue in the late 70s. Zappa was not only an amazing composer, but also, an overlooked guitar virtuoso, whose technical skills were masked by the complexity of his compositions (witness the elaborate ensemble in the video). Weird? You bet. Superb? For sure!
