I was killing time at lunch today wandering through the thrift store across the street from the office. I have found some really good stuff there from time to time. Today I ran across a new Shady Brady straw hat. I have wanted a Shady Brady for a while but just could not bring myself to fork out $60-80 for a straw hat. This one was $3.99 and was in my size so I bought it.

I love thrift stores. I had to turn down a beautiful, like new western saddle for $129 last month, because I already have one saddle and no horses. Usually I just buy books.

I am so jealous. My 15 year old Shady Brady USED to look like that. Mine is broken-in to the point of disrepute. I refuse to replace it as it has travel 68,000 miles on my motor cycles with me.

I scope them out too. Mostly audio equipment which I apraise and either add them to the sound system or gut them for parts or for project platforms.
I have a Kenwood KA-127 integrated amp with a side fried that I intend to overhaul and update.
