Default I always see the best deals when I'm broke.

So why is it when I have the cash in pocket I never seem to find the really good deals? When I go out looking for good stuff with cash in pocket I don't seem to find near as much as I do when I'm broke. I was at the OGCA show yesterday and if I would have had a few Gs in my pocket I would have brought home quite a few guns. There seemed to be quite a few nice S&Ws and pretty good prices. The last time I went there with cash I could not find anything at a price I was willing to pay. I really hate that Murphy guy.

I hear you. I was there too. Even worse is going there "with" $$$, seeing all the S&W Revolver deals only to actually find the deal on the gun you were hoping to find!

I had it in my head to find a deal on a Beretta 84FS and found a 84F with my name on it instead. I got it for $40 less than he was asking but $20 more than I wanted to pay.

The last show, I couldn't find any good deals on S&W's but as you said, this show had more than one!! (you had to see the S&W collection, all the way to the right... on the corner!)

There is a big differencee between broke and poor.

Broke is temporary.

Poor is permanent.

I have been broke so long it became permanent and now I am poor.

My problem with being poor is I may have the money to buy the gun of the week but the money is obligated to other foolish places like house notes, insurance, and medical expenses. Sometimes I bite the bullet and buy a gun when I should not but due to price and condition, it cannot be turned down.
