The first picture of the Stoc-Loc shown on their web page shows how I think most people would mount this item, on a door or possibly a sheetrock wall. I see a MAJOR problem with this setup. The firearm is only as secure as the door or sheetrock is strong. The second and third pictures show it mounted to what looks like the wall of a log cabin. This definitely looks to be a stronger, more secure mounting position than a door or sheetrock, but I would bet most of us don't live in a log cabin. I would think mounting it on a door would not be secure as most interior doors are hollow core and do not have security hinges. Mounting it to sheetrock, it could easily be pulled from the mounting surface with a large screw driver/prybar even if screwed/bolted into the studs. I guess this would be about 1/3 the cost of buying an entry level safe and a little more secure than sticking them in the corner of a closet.
