These photos went around a while back. It was nice to view them all once again. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These pictures add up to a few million! It is easy to let your mind wander into the past, and try to imagine what was on the minds of the people in these photos. Some of these, actually most of them, are visual works of art as well.

Outstanding photos and history, made possible by a "gummint jobs program," I might add. Gotta love the welder in No. 49 and the shepherd in No. 58.

We sure have gotten richer in the past 60 years. Have we become happier?

Lots of kids running around with no shoes. Everybody looked pretty depressed. (Yes, I know there was a depression going on). I wonder what the suicide rate was?

Some of those photos look like Norman Rockwell paintings.

That's the America I grew up in.

No wonder folks call me an eccentric today.

Unbelievably vivid colors! I was about 10 years old at that time, and remember some of it.

I spent most of the night looking at those pictures and other leads. Really enjoyed the old russian ones as my grandparents came from some of that area. One thing confuse`s me. Not trying to start something here, but----- check out this lead that shows that manzanar japanese camp that was in california. I been past the site many times. Unless it was clever propaganda by our officals, what confuses me is that on all the pictures the japanese americans look so happy in captivity. Not at all what the press has been telling us the last 50 years! Take a look!
