My new Husqvarna rabbit eared rabbit gun! *pic warning*
I picked up a nice Husky model 20B in 12ga- underlever action, hammers, 2 1/2" chambers and close to 90% condition with lots of nice case hardening left. The last photo is the only one that shows how nice the case colors actually are!
My question is, where is a listing of the serial numbers for date? I've seen references to a long out of print Swedish book on Husqvarna, but I've had no luck. I've asked this question on a couple of Swedish gun boards, but most of those guys are M96, M38, etc. collectors and haven't been able to help me. All I know is this one was made after WW2 to around 1954.
Anyone direct me?

Model 20B was made from '44 to '56.
This is a great site. http://www.skydevaaben.com/index.xml
The serial numbers page. http://www.skydevaaben.com/hvasno/info.xml
I've got half a dozen, mixed Dubbelbossa 17s and 20s, in 12 and 16 gauges. They are sweet guns. None of mine's colors are that pretty, though.

Thanks so much!
According to the serial numbers, mines dates to 1946-1947, so it's an early post-war gun, and likely an early 20B.
It doesn't say if the serial numbers are when the year ended, or began, so I can't say definitely. I now have those sites bookmarked.

Very nice! Be sure not to inadvertantly put 2 3/4 shotshells into it, as the pressures will spike. It would be very easy for a gunsmith/machinist to extend those chambers to 2 3/4 for you if you chose to do so. I personally would leave everything original. That's a keeper as is! Good luck with it.

Oh don't worry, it has found a nice home full of short shells. I already load BP brass shells for my other singles and 1893/97 Winchesters. I am going to try some paper hulls and smokeless on this puppy. I got a tip to use dime or nickel coin papers for shotcups in the shells to prevent leading and help patterns- that's a trick I'm going to have to try.

I collect Swedish guns
I really like mine, have you checked out the cool "husky" single shot rifles that are available. Here is a pic of two of mine, a 32-20 and a 30-30. With a quick pic of my shotgun thrown in.

Combat, I've got one of them in 22. Sure would like to have 32/20. I just like that caliber, for some dang reason.

I have some .22's to. I believe they call those style guns "Sakrats".My personal favorites are the rolling blocks. Here is mine in 8x58R cal.Which is roughly a .45-70 necked down to 8mm or so. Sorry, for the thread drift.

Those do not look like the Husqvarnas I was looking at in Lowe's last week.
They are beautiful!

I doubt that Husqvarna made any of that style of double as late as post WWII. I have a Model 310, which was made in about 1910, so they had started with the more modern designs quite a while ago.

I'm a big Husky fan. Here's a couple my favorites. Your case color is much better than mine.

322L Airweight string trimmer

According to the serial numbers and model list links posted earlier in this thread, they made them as late as 1954.
I'm headed to the field this afternoon!
I took this picture some time ago, with it's Husqvarna brother in 7.5 Swedish, and a vintage box of 2 9/16" 12ga shells:
