Default Need help with Automag IV 10mm magnum

Hello,

I just bought a brand new Amt Automag IV in 10mm magnum and when i fired it for the 1st this weekend it gave some problems ( i know they're known for it) with the extractor, after the 1st shot most of the times it doesn't extract/ eject the brass and it will jam.
I think the extrator is a bit to small ( it's made for a .45 win mag)
Who has got an Automag IV in 10mm mag or knows someone or has some information on what to do about it.

Thanks,

Daan Holman

My experience is with an AMT Automag II and III(30 carbine). I bought both "slightly used". The III was returned for "jamming". It has not done so with me. The II was bought because the III was so much fun to shoot. It was a "jam-o-matic" and I finally was going to sell it but first I went to a fairly large gun show and picked up a box of every brand of 22 mag. I could find. I tried them all. I have never had another jam.

So I think there is a "break in" period with these guns and you should endure about 150-200 rounds of jamming before giving up on it.

Good Luck. There are AMTs being made in Texas by the same folks that make the new High Standard but I don't think your caliber is one of them
