Default Bosch sliding miter saw rebuilding - linear bearing question.

I'm rebuilding a Bosch 10" sliding miter saw and have a question about the linear bearings. I have to replace the casting that contains the linear bearings that allow the saw to slide. I am wondering if the bearings are pressed in and if so how to remove them. I have the new casting and the area where the bearings fit is completely smooth with no keyways, etc. The bearings are steel tubes with ball bearings in slots but the front and rear of the bearings appear to be brass rings. The parts diagram does not show a separate brass piece so I'm guessing the brass is part of the bearing assy. The bearings are in good shape so I'm planning on reusing them. This also means I don't have a new bearing for reference.
Any thoughts on how to remove them? Since I don't have a bearing press I was planning on using a large C clamp and a socket.
Assuming I can get them out, are linear bearings normally permanently lubricated and if not what should I use?

Thanks

Jeff

The Akins Accelerator used those, probably the same size you have. See if anyone will answer the phone there and maybe a tech guy can tell you about those bearings.
