Okay... it's already sold... but I hád this Beretta Combat duo tone.
It is a factory finish, but even the guys from Beretta said: "Wow, never seen that one.... "

This is a Mauser solid frame zig-zag revolver in 9mm caliber; a rimmed 9mm with a heel type bullet. It's serial number 4, so they made at least three more, but I beat the bushes some years ago looking for zig-zags, and this is the only 9mm solid frame I've ever found. It's missing the ejector rod.

American Arms revolver this is an double action action only revolver with an switch to put the trigger for the first pull in the single action mode.
You can aim and then pull the trigger in a smoother single action pull.
Iff you dont use the switch it is double action only. One of the more strange revolvers in my collection. I love this piece.

You are correct. The front sight is adjustable for height but not radius. It is interesting to find a couple of USRA owners. This one has been in my family since the 40s.

Secondly this is the real deal. I will bet that NO ONE has one of these. Its a M1941 Johnson. It was a 30.06 rotary magazine fed predecessor to the Garand. It was also build in a LMG format. My example is the rare edition that Johnson made in the 50ies with a 5 round box magazine and flat top for scope as a sported edition for hunters.

I had a standard and complete 1941 Johnson with a cracked and refinished stock. But it was all there and one potential buyer thought the metal was refinished and passed on it. I gave my wife a thousand bucks out of the money after I sold it to a Salinas Farmer. That was three years ago.

I have two, albeit not the first one in the first photo...plus the last photo (third one) is an "honorable mention".

Not the one on the top, but the one on the bottom. It's either a pre-production model, a custom-order, or a prototype. It's a Waffenfabrik Simson-for-Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Boxlock Drilling in 12 Ga x 12 Ga x 8x50R Mannlicher caliber, with the 8x50R Mannlicher chambering being, yes, factory. There are no other examples known made for Iver Johnson (which has some decidedly non-Germanic features such as the stock and longer barrelset) with an 8x50R barrel. The other examples I've seen have all been .30-30 regarding the rifle barrel.

I wouldn't put money down on the one on top. That's a Teschner-Collath Drilling in 16 Ga x 16 Ga x 9.3x72R Collath. It's the basic model with the least amount of engraving and in the most commonly-imported configuration. Still, I doubt anyone has one; I've only seen one other one for sale.

My second one comes with a caveat in that it's part of a pre-production run...

All sub-250 serial number Albanian SKS's are undated and come with an early-style stock. The only other undated Albanian SKS's have 4+ digit serial numbers and later style stocks. Thus far, mine is the lowest known serial number and one of I think three in the country that qualifies as a pre-production gun. If you're one of the other two guys that has one, well...now's the time to step forward!

There's also this...

...which is an RAF property marked Enfield No. 2 Mk. I revolver in pretty much perfect shape. I think there are roughly ten with RAF ownership stamp in the US. HOWEVER, I'm fairly certain that the guy who owns two of them is registered here, so I'm not putting $10 down on this one!

Default H&R 32 'Too' Short

My Grandpa Mason's gun that he took to Montana in 1921. He said it was his back-up to a Stevens 12 ga., his "bear Gun".....I swear that's what he called it. Don't think it would do much good even if he shot the bear in the eye. ( Not bettin', just wanted the repeat the Bear Gub remark....)

I am sure that I actually won this one:

This is a Colt New Police/Police Positive Transitional Model in .22 LR with a 4" bbl. Colt can't find it in their records. The serial number is the only marking on it other than the "verified proof ". So, they guessed that it must have been a prototype or for a variation that was never produced or a "lunch box special" that an employee put together. The serial number fits a sequence of theirs. They found the number before and the one after.....

If any one else has another one, I'll gladly send the $$ to the Forum!

Charles

OK I'll play. Top is a .22 Noris garden rifle brought back from Germany after the war by my uncle. The lower gun is a Geco Model 1919 Karibiner which was my neighbor's grandfather's rifle as a boy.

I don't have any rare guns but my neighbor claims to. He says that he has a S&W Escort that has never failed to feed.

But then he's been known to stretch the truth a little.

I came THIS close to buying a Geco Karabiner (believe it or not, sometimes "Carabiner") 1919 last year. The Norris .22 is something I've not seen for sale, however.

Many of you will recognise this as a Mosin Nagant carbine. Some will know that it is a 91/38 as rebuilt in Czechoslovakia. However, this carbine has a very unusual feature that most will not have seen. Sorry, no prizes as there are too many milsurp hounds out there.

I won't place any bets on it, but this one is quite uncommon. It's a Springfield .69 caliber Model 1816 flintlock musket made in 1826, and it was rifled for use during the Civil War.

A Nickle Like New "Desk Drawer" 38 S&W Webley Mark II made 1894 with a serial below 175. Birds Head grips were very rare, and they are essentially perfect. What may look like blems in the photo are actually cartouches.

Would you like a closer inspection?

his "bear Gun".....I swear that's what he called it. Don't think it would do much good even if he shot the bear in the eye.
Well, you know the old story... you don't shoot the bear, you shoot your buddy in the kneecap...

Dalkowski, I checked my Geco. I spelled it wrong, it's Karabiner. I've never even heard of a Noris rifle before either.

I do have an Albanian SKS but mine is a '78 production, not nearly as old or rare as yours.

I came close. I used to have an Escort that never failed to feed Remington HSHP. Didn't work with the few other types I tried.

Thanks for the photo.

Actually it is quite recoiless - just has a lot of muzzle flip as it's muzzle light. When the breech parts wear it will actually recoil forward.

Shooting the gun isn't all that bad. However to be behind it is another matter. I was 100 yards down range when we demonstrated it. We set multiple car alarms off in the parking area over 200 yards away.

Reddogge, you may want to ask the German Gun Collectors' Association about the Noris. It's likely the name of the importer and looks to be made by the same outfit (probably in Zella-Mehlis) as the Geco, but honestly, I don't know.

Sorry, but I have two of single shot, & two 10 shot Hartfords. These I still have from when I broke up my High Standard collection. (had 78 High Standards & 8 Hartfords, & still have about 30 High Standards & 4 Hartfords.)
I will Never sell All my High Standards (New Haven & Hamdens) as I think these are the best .22 autos ever made. It's still hard not to buy one when I see a rare or simi-rare model for sale.

This is a working miniature of a French model 1874 revolver.
Caliber is 6mm Belgian manufacture. Very good quality.
Post it a time before.

I see we are still playing. I want to add my Mann Accuracy Device. I got it from the CMP, its a heavy 1:7 Kart barrel in 5.56 on a Remington 700 short action. It is used to test ammo for the Army. Not suppose to have a stock but I put this on it to play with until I can get a cradle built. It has an extremely tight chamber, I have to resize about half my new winchester brass in a small bass die to get it to chamber. Super accurate.

Well I should have paid more attention to my own thread. Post some pics and I'll send you that $10 or donate it to the board.

Sorry I wasn't paying attention. Another member just brought it to my attention that this thread was getting some action.
