LG TV sound help
Or rather no sound help. I bought a new LG 4K TV less than two months ago. Out of the blue it is not getting sound from the internal speakers on at least half of the channels. I am still running through the LG troubleshooting guide with no answers. I have also gone back to the factory default settings.
Any ideas?

I've got an LG, but I can't help, though if you got it at Costco, their Concierge service will take care of it quickly. Good luck.
Did you "hard boot" it by pulling the plug?

Turn it off, turn it on. Solves 98% of computer/smartphone/digital/data issues . . .

If it is only happening on half the channels I would suspect signal quality issues. Are you using OTA, online feeds, classic cable, satellite, U-verse, or something unusual as an input?

I knew it was gonna be that.
I was just getting ready to suggest it.
What the heck just happened?

I'm using satellite and I have no idea what happened. If it had been all channels or bands of channels it would have made more sense but it wouldn't work for 30 channels and then it would for five and then stop again. Rinse and repeat all the way up the dial. As if TVs had dials anymore!

One thing I miss......
...is turning on the TV, selecting a channel with a knob, then sitting down and watching. Too often, it takes re-programming something. I have a nice Bravia and you need a computer science degree to operate it. Usually I have to try half a dozen things before I find out where the problem is, then start working on that.
OK, Rant over. You might try letting it 'find' the channels again. It sounds like some may be out of tune enough to get a partial signal. In other words, start from the beginning set up.

My buddy has a "smart" TV that keeps assigning the Spanish language (SAP) feed as primary to one TV channel. Nobody can work out why.

I recently had a similar issue with a Samsung Smart 60" UHDTV and after all the chats, on line help and rebooting (to no avail) I returned it to Costco for a new one - problem solved. More than likely an issue with an electronic component or bad circuit board but since it was only a week old they gave me a new one.
NOW I have issues with connecting to Amazon Prime. From what I understand it's a software issue between Amazon & Samsung. Well see how that gets resolved.
All these new TV's are advancing so fast they are probably being built faster & faster with less QC. It's amazing they work most of the time!
UPDATE: Just got off the Chat Line with Samsung and they walked me through changing the DNS code from Auto to a specific number and that seems to work at least so far. All the Apps DO work as intended and hopefully this has solve my issue.
You might bet better off just returning the LG and getting another one. Sometimes that saves a lot of grief!
