Here is a simulator for long range shooting. I scored an 82 first time through, how did you do?

But, but....there is no aperture, and no smoke when I pull the trigger!!!

How exactly do you expect a feller to do long range shooting without big slow moving hunks of lead and columns of billowing smoke? I was lost.

Took me two cycles to get used to it but I ended up with 90 on the 3rd try. Actually pretty fun.

COOL game, 82 on the first time. Not smart enough to calculate by using the MOA settings on the scope but did much better with 'Kentucky windage'.

Scored an 86 on my first run through. I haven't tried it again, yet. I guess I will...see if I can manage a perfect run.

Geez...I did horrible on the first 2 targets! Then I finally figured out my mistake on the windage adjustments, and it went a bit smoother from there.

Thanks for posting that, it's pretty interesting.

This is really an entertaining little game. Thanks a lot for posting this. I always enjoy a new way to pass a few minutes away.... Scored an 83 first time through by the way. That 5 on the first round didn't help.

I did ******. The wind was blowing sand in my eyes, I was shooting a new load, I drank too much coffee in the morning, and my feet hurt. Oh yeah, the guy next tp me was brassing me too. Pretty realistic game.

Default Score

95 my first run, but I had been practicing the math before I found this site. I have found your score can drop just as quickly if you get over confident or sloppy in math, I find its a good exercise to get comfortable with the math. Later on found a mil-dot calculator for my phone which speeds things up. The thing that helped me was my HS trig class, I calculated that a 1:30 wind would have 66% wind drift vs a straight crosswind. Horus scopes has a simulator that's a lot of fun too.

80, only did it one time, never was any good at math (language arts, history, chasing girls more my speed). Can count the times on one hand I've done any long range rifle shooting (anything longer than 100 yds). I'll definitel spend lots of time on it though when I'm having trouble sleeping at night lol.

80 first round. Mils work better with meters IIRC. Oh, and who zeroes a long range rifle at 100 yards? Give me a zero for a -/+ 6 inch point blank range any day.

I scored an 81 the first time through. I can't figure out how to move the turrets. I would have done better if I could move the turrets. I had trouble adjusting for wind. And, the wind direction seems wrong. According to the indicator, the wind was blowing to the right, but I had to correct right to hit the target.

Edit: I guess I should have read the instructions first. Still, the wind is off.

Wind vanes ALWAYS point to where the wind is coming FROM, not to where it is going.

Well, that makes sense. I continue to learn.
