I was just thinking. (a dangerous thing) when we go to the great beyond, how much we are worth as scrap metal. Some of us have titanium, gold, silver, etc. in us. What's this stuff worth? If a guy has a couple of hips and a bone rod or two and maybe a few gold teeth, seems like the salvage ought to at least pay for the cremation. I'll bet that funeral parlors have a nice little side business.

Don't know if she'll follow my wishes but I told the wife to wrap me in a garbage bag up to my neck and hang a trash tag from my ear. Any scrap metals value lost would be less than the cost of a funeral and burial. I guaranteed her that I would not complain.

I have had 33 Surgeries

Including
Two Below Knee amputations (Titanium Artificial legs)
Two Artificial hips (Each replaced twice)
Open heart surgery (Wire and a pig valve in my chest)
an various and sundry other things done to me over 50 years

As for scrap value, please dont tell my wife
as it will bring new meaning to
"You are worth more to me dead than alive"

When I die my instructions are to send my body off to a medical school somewhere,
and let them have some fun
(They will probably think they have been given a deformed Hobbit)

Then just cremate whats left of me, and put my ashes in the Gulf of Mexico near my favorite fishing spot

I have two gold crowns, and with the price of gold the way it is, I'm sure I have more value in my mouth than in my pocket. I also have a small piece of scrap iron still in me along with a few small pieces of lead, but I don't think they have any value.

When I do go, I want to be either stuffed or freeze dried, put on my Triumph motorcycle, and sealed in a glass case as a modern art sculpture.
