Daytona gunshow - at the Ocean Center Curio & relic
I am going down to Daytona (from SC) for a watch & clock collectors meeting next week. There is a gunshow at the same venue, Sat & Sun - Feb 26, 27. I am trying to break away for a quick visit on the gun side.
Has anyone attended one of these shows in the past? Good/bad/?
Will anyone be attending this year?
Charlie

That must be the show up in Bunnell. I have never gone to that one but the promoter, Cliffhangers, puts on small shows in this area. The few I've been to are 40 - 50 tables of mostly "collectable" artifacts and that type of stuff. Seem to be interesting, pleasant and inexpensive type of shows just don't have high expectations of finding that once in a lifetime Smith.

If it's at the county fairgrounds between Daytona and DeLand, it's not worth the price of admittance. Small show with a lot of junk.

Sad to say our { Florida } gun shows lately have been getting a bad rap. Lots of over pricing and some real junk. Pretty much the dealers bring what wont sell in the shops or on the free Gun trader on line. Yes, some folks probably have gotten a good deal here and there, but most people say afterwards " not worth the price of admission ". 26

The LRPC show at the Lakeland Center is worth 100 miles each way. Next one is April 16-17. Start saving. Joe

Most of the NW Florida shows have turned into flea markets. The best gun shows are in Alabama.

I live in the county and won't drive to a show at the Ocean Center. Lakeland is always worth the trip.

Sal is a true gentleman. If you find a treasure and show it to him, he'll ask once if you are going to buy it. Indecision is not one of Sal's faults. Joe

crsides, never heard of that one and have been going to shows a lot of years around here. It has to be a reenactment group or something like that because it sure isn't a regular gun show.

I only go to the gun shows in or close by the Jacksonville, Florida area and they all seem to be getting worse and worse with each passing year. You see less guns on display and more junk tables. I know you can find some gems at some of the junk tables but when they cover close to half the area at the show it’s getting to be a bit much. And prices seem to be getting more and more outrageous as well. Add in the jerky, cheap Chinese holsters, tazers, and other such stuff and you end up with an average where the actual display set aside for guns is from one half to one third of the show. And please… I don’t go to the gun show to look at puppies.
