Animals.New forms of life?
Ingenious but hardly the God that he sees himself as.
Wait till GOD wants to send him a message and his tinker toy gets blown into the surf.

I agree. Pretty impressive design skills, but calling it "life" is a bit over the top.

Its a good thing that this isnt in Cali, they would want to unionize the creature, tax it and probably disrupt the flow of water to some region just like they did with that little fish.

Sadly, no longer just Cali... but coming to a neighborhood near you.

I may be wrong, I have been a time or two, but to me it looks like a smart man wasted a lot of time.

Interesting, but just old "crank technology".
You see walkers in the movies all the time. Trouble is, when you add weight, and therefore, friction, the wheel or track works a lot better.
Walkers only work with very low weight, or very low gravity, or LOTS of energy compared to the weight being moved.

You can give life to anything. All it takes is to add motion. While not a living creature, it has a life of it's own.

My question would be why someone would want to do such. It took a lot of time to work out the plan and assemble it. Clearly the man has too much idle time.

I am surprised that fruitcake is not part of the California collection. A case for the estate tax if ever there was one.

I forwarded this post to him and he said he was sorry for his creative thinking and promised to stop.

He is a "artist" that's what they do. We have a sand sculpture contest here on the beach every year, equally amazing and takes them days to make, only to wash away.

It's pretty neat but never would be allowed in California as it is PVC which is a "product know to contain chemicals that cause cancer"

Thumbs down

Life? I guess my paper airplanes I made back in the day were like Frankenstein or maybe zombies. Toss 'em and they would flutter around only to die and be revived again and again. It looks more like creativity with no function. Wait until the thing tramples some kid or something. And he's going to die happy knowing that he let loose some walking trash on the beach??? All that genius and effort. Did he make a new more simplistic and efficient wind powered generator? No. Did he create a new mode of transportation? No. He made a walking heap of PVC that is likely to be swept into the ocean.

Thanks, Sip,
It's good to see some useless creativity in action. Looks like he'd be good at coming up with a wind-powered generator.

A waste of time just like those crazy Wright Bros! If man was born to fly, God would have given him wings.

Thanks for that, it was neat to see his thinking/design evolve. I bet he got "A's" @ the Polyteknik Institute. Joe

The artist said that it gave him insight into how difficult it must have been for the Creator to create this beautiful world.

I'm relieved to hear this! I was briefly worried that this walker technology might be married to to the "Watson" Jeopardy playing computer technology, and that before you know it, we might have additional examples of lightweight, airhead, self-propelled, semi-sentient beings, as currently in abundant example in the political arena.
