Do you ever talk to the TV?
I know that this sounds crazy, but my wife and I catch ourselves doing just that. It never fails when a news anchor don't get the cue that they have changed camera angles, my wife hollers "hey! over here stupid", or something like that. I caught my self telling Bryan Williams to "breathe". I have never seen anyone that can talk as long as he can, without taking a breath. Sometimes I find myself doing it right along with him and feel as though I am going to pass out.
When the President makes a speech, I'll bet his ears are burning, at least from the Smith household anyway.
When I was a kid, my buddy's mom would call out to cowboys when someone was sneaking up from behind them. Her husband would always say "shut up Evie". And me and my bud would laugh at how dumb they were acting, and now I do it.
I really kinda hope I'm not the only one that does this. Please make me feel more saner. I used to wear my Bulls hat when I was their fan. I still wear my Jeff Gordon hat while watching NASCAR events. I guess I am trying to show them my support? Sometimes when Oprah comes on I hear different sounds coming from around the room, some unidentifiable but strange.
Peace,
gordon

Talk to the TV? I know a guy who shot several, mostly, I think during inane news reporting or coverage of politicos. I once did an informal poll to determine the TV personality most used for dry fire practice --- Connie Chung was the runaway favorite at the time. I hardly ever raise my voice, except to curse at idiotic reporting. This is partly why I eschew TV news, for the most part.

Chill out Gordon, I do it too! But it's mostly me cussing out Katie Couric for being well you know.
I'm particularly bad at action movies, especially when the lead nitwit runs around the corner with his slide locked back and you hear gunfire. I literally got thrown out of one movie for laughing to loud!!
And that part about your wife yelling at the news anchor is just priceless!!
Is it me or is TV getting dumber and they expect us to keep up with them? Dale

Yeah, I've been known to talk to the TV. And my daughter has been known to say, "Dad, you know they can't hear you, right?" She doesn't think it's funny when she's yelling at her favorite football team and I say the same thing, though.

Yesterday I went to an old folks home.I'm not sure what they were complaining about but MSNBC was on.I thought there was gonna be a riot.I'm not kidding. One old lady got kicked out of the bingo game for bringing the news to the game room.
God bless the staff and I honestly hope I don't get to go back.

My Wife and I watched every episode (Eight seasons) of "24". She got really tired of me constantly hollering at Jack. Always had his finger on the trigger and every time he took his handgun out of the holster he had to chamber a round.

Just tonight, as a matter of fact. I don't talk to the TV, I usually yell at it in unflattering tones. Tonight she was on a thing about guns from the US being shipped to Mexico. And on the photo in the teaser was a belt fed gun. Like we can even get them here. I'd love to have a belt fed M60. It'd probably be easier to obtain one in Mexico than here.
The only reason CBS news is on is because its after the local news and that channel is clearly superior (and the weather guesser babe is a hottie.)

There was an entrepreneur many years ago that made foam rubber house bricks molded in the appropriate red color. They were popular at football TV watching get togethers.

I consider it a family tradition. My dad came home from work and yelled at Walter Cronkite every night. "And that's the way it is...." was always guaranteed to elicit a response. Occasionally, while flipping through the channels, I'll pause on MSNBC just to yell at them. It's good for the soul.
My wife and I enjoy correcting our local news anchors and reporters, all of whom are mediocre at best. In fact, I choose the worst station for the morning news, just so we have a little entertainment to start the day.

My wife enjoys (I think) listening to me interact with news anchors who make stupid remarks about a subject they have no clue about. I remember the foam rubber house brick that JcMack mentioned, I usually just wad up a piece of paper and throw it at the TV.

Yup i do too i'll admit it but only when its on. I think if we talk to it when its off we have a problem. Like when we can't get it to turn on?? Ok i have a problem too.
But my wife, my two dogs and 5 cats don't listen to me either. The cats do come on command.
