I like that slammed look in the first photo! My favorite big rig was always the old truck from the Dennis Weaver movie "Duel".

Nice looking Marmon, you don't see many of those. We had one of the few Marmon dealerships up here back when I was in school. They only had two trucks. A aerodyne gold truck and a blue straight 60 inch sleeper. I rode with my father in the gold one on a test drive, it had a 425 CAT and was the first 15 speed my father ever drove. The only reason he never bought that truck was the gold color, it never really looked right. I remember one of the very few Dodge Bighorn's that were made I saw in the Petro truck stop in Elkton, Maryland, they only made something like 75 of those. I think my favorite truck still has to be my father's 79 White Road Commander cabover with a 290 Cummins and a 9 speed. That truck would go like a bat out of hell, although his last truck, a 2000 black Western Star that he beefed up to something like 675 hp was really something.

Harley's and big rigs, American artwork!
Thanks for posting this. I always enjoy seeing the personalised
equipment when I'm scurrying around on the Interstate. TACC1

Great pics! I love looking at chrome and lights on other people's rigs, but I can't justify it on mine. It doesn't save any fuel, doesn't get the load there any faster, and I can spend that money on things I really need. Like guns and ammo.

I love that stuff, the build quality and attention to detail is amazing! Any pictures of the rig that won the NAST competition? I hear Eilen & Sons hauled a load from Minnesota to the show, cleaned up their rig, took top honors then hauled a load back home...

This is my father's latest, an International. Not quite as shiny as his last Western star, but a looker none the less.
