Default Email From NRA

This morning I got an email from the NRA. I figure other members got the same thing. What they want is for you to quite taking the monthly "PRINT" magazines and get the "e" version only. Their reasoning is, growing costs for paper, printing and cost of mailing and needing more money to fight for gun rights.
I want the magazine in my hands. Heck, half of the reading I do is in the reading, (John), room. I guess I am susposted to take a computer with me "while taking care of business".....
According to the magazine, they only charge you $3.75 of your membership fee to receive the magazine. That seems like a lot of money left for them to spend on fighting for our 2nd Amdn. rights. If they would quite sending half of the things they send you everyday by email their cost's would go down. (I wonder how many people are employed to do this?) I opped out of almost all their mailings. I beleive I had as many as 10 to 15 emails a day.
Any other thoughts on this?

TLG, the old guy from WV.....

I am with you, I want the magazine delivered. The quality of the "Rifleman" is not what it was 25 years ago, but it's all we got today. No e mail for me, please.

Call it the way you want it. You paid for the magazine, and if you want it you should get it. I opted for the electronic, but when I went to read it, I found it inconvenient, and changed back to the paper magazine. A young person raised on computers and Kindle may have reacted differently.

I do generally read AR at the same point in my daily cycle that you do. Must be an old folks' thing. No, maybe not. That was always when and where I read it.

I tried a sample on line and sitting at my computer, and having to flip the pages, then enlarge it enough so I could read it, then scroll up and down the page to read it all, the flip the next page, then "go to page XX for the rest of the story". Needless to say I don't want an electronic version.

I get mail from the NRA every week with some bogus poll or another, which is just another ploy for money. They could really care less what any of us think, so long as the money keeps pouring in. I think they need to publish a list of salaries of all of their executives. What a racket! The old NRA has been dead and gone for years.
