Default Got to shoot a I frame hand ejector this weekend and more

As many of you know, I am also on the Ruger Forum quite a bit, and this past weekend, several of the RF members met up at the Tin Star Ranch in Fredericksberg Texas.

There were a passel (tip of the hat to Iggy) of guns there, probably 175 to 200 different guns there that crossed the entire spectrum from and 1888 Winchester rifle in 45-70 to my H&K P7M8.

One of the members had a pristine S&W I frame hand ejector in 32 S&W and I took my turn at puttng several cylinders of rounds downrange. It was not the smoothest trigger pull I've experienced but it sure was fun.

I also had the opportunity to shoot a Model 39 (no dash) with a four (4) digit serial number.

Both were a joy to shoot.

If you ever think about getting away from it all the Tin Star Ranch is a very nice facility to consider.

Sounds like great fun. Wish I'd have known about it; it's a long day's drive from El Paso, but worth it.

I have a .32 Hand Ejector in pristine condition - blued with a 3 1/4 barrel, 5 screws, serial # 150xx. How do I know what frame it is?

Way back in 1959 my Uncle was hired as a cop in NJ. His issued off duty piece was a pre or a M-31 in three inch. It was THE first handgun I ever shot. I was eight years old.

Last year I found a nice circa 1957 M-31 and bought it. Neat little revolver. Almost a better "Kit Gun" than the .22 kit guns.

An I frame is visibly more petite when placed next to a J frame.
