They should be available for all interested to see. If you dont want to see them, dont look. People thought hitler was still alive untill he would have been 105 years old. Probley lincoln too.
I have no doubt he is dead. They wouldnt take the chance of osamba popping up somewhere else and makeing a fool out of us.
Much longer and he would die of old age the way I thought it was going.

If he took two to the left side of his face, it's likely that he won't be recognizable anyway.

I thought the poll was about showing pictures of our guns, then I read the post.......stupid! I voted wrong. I voted "don't care", but should have voted, "show me the car fax"! I'm sorry if I screwed the actual poll results up. I agree with feralmerril in that if you don't wanna see the pix, then close yer little eyes. I just kinda wonder though, if he is really dead or is this just damage control for a failing politician? Prolly not, but who knows for sure. I heard they had DNA and facial proof, but I wonder if they can show his birth certificate? Just joking. He wasn't "born" anyways, he was hatched, that is, Osama, not the other one.

I'm sorry, but in short order, he'll join the likes of Roswell, JFK, Hoffa, etc.etc.etc....a legend and he shouldn't have been one.
I also disagree with the ANNOUNCEMENT he was buried at sea. IMHO they show the body like was done with Che Guevarra...then quietly dispose of the body with its final fate left unrevealed.

I saw the plane hit the second tower live on television. I have seen the coffins come off the plane at Dover, again on video. I stood on the side of the street when the body of a young serviceman came home. I can handle seeing a gory picture or two of Bin Laden.

The people who love Bin Laden and hate us will not hate us any more if the photos are shown. I doubt there are a dozen people on the plant who will shift from undecided to hating Americans because the photos are shown.

Show the pics! It will let the rest if the world know that we mean business!

One of the stories on the news today was that the pic of bin Laden was shown in the UK media. Haven't seen it myself.

Fox has been running the film of the twin towers attack, complete with survivors comments. When people started jumping out of the buildings I had to turn it off.

I'm conflicted about releasing pictures. No matter what, many will cry "PhotoShop"! And I keep thinking how our troops have been punished for taking pictures of dead fighters! And, I believe that releasing photos of POW's or dead combatants is a Geneva Convention violation isn't it?

Believe nothing you hear or read and only half of what you see. I want to see da pics then I'll halfway believe he's dead. I would prefer to have his head on a pole in NYC.

I remember the feelings associated with the Viet-Cong shot in the head by a South VN officer with the bullet visibly exiting. We have a history of showing disturbing images that make us consider the importance of things. I vote to make them available for those who want to see them.

I voted no. As not on the evening news or such media. I think pictures should be available on request (web page etc.) for those who want to see him.
I am amazed he was found alive to kill. I wrote him off as dead years ago.
But I also said Obama was unelectable and pump your own gas would never catch on.

I know what it feels good to say, but please ask yourself this- what makes us better than the corpse-dragging, head-cutting, yowling crowds that burn our flag and empty AK 47's into the air and chant for our death?

I like to think we are a few evolutionary periods ahead of that. Go in, get the job done, and move on. Let's not try to prove we can be just backwards as them.

It has been years now that a picture could be held in proof of anything. The world is a better place now, but let US maintain our own dignity.

I'd like a copy of the most gruesome photo of his corpse available. And then I'd use it to line the bottom of a bird cage. I have no respect whatsoever for Bin Laden, and I think that honoring his body by "observing Muslim traditions" for his burial at sea was ludicrous. I would have smeared his remains with bacon grease and dragged him naked by the heels behind a Humvee up and down the streets of New York until all that was left was a bloody piece of hamburger. Black Jack Pershing had the right idea. No quarter with terrorists. None. Evil is never defeated by running away from it or appeasing it. The British learned that lesson well at Munich before Hitler launched WWII. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Regarding the pictures, maybe I'm immune after seeing my fair share of carnage, head shots, slit throats, etc, but I really can't imagine the picture being more gruesome than the Kennedy autopsy pictures showing the back of his head blown off, or the picture of the South Vietnamese General shooting the VC in the head with the S&W Model 38.

Heck-I just pulled up Saddam's hanging video to watch for old times sake.
