I was born in 1947, so I won't repeat the request. But I did remark the number of songs that showed up more than once, by different artists. Do you suppose the war created a shortage of songwriters?

How about 1958? I seem to recall that "My True Love" by Jack Scott held some kind of record.

I have been collecting Billboard "Top 30 (later 100)" for many years - I think I have most/all from the 40's through the 80's - that's when I figured I'd stop because I didn't care to listen to Madonna etc. I was born in '47 also - but I listen to late 60's & 70's stuff - the car CD player is mostly Sinatra with a sprinkle of 70's rock like Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac etc (ok - some classical & jazz too.)

When I listen to my oldies, I just take out my reel to reel tape recorder, or my 8 track tape deck..... not really.

I do have about 15 original 45's from late 50's - early 60's, most complete with jackets. So cool.

Too bad I can't listen to them
