Other than S&W, does anyone make reliabale magazines for the 41?

Would like to have more than 2, but damn they are expensive.

What do you consider too expensive? If you Google S&W Model 41 magazines you'll find a number of vendors. Some are out-of-stock and backordered, for instance Midway. I did find one vendor who seems to have some:

I'm not personally aware of any other manufacturers who make 41 mags.....but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I have shot 41s since I was a kid and my dad bought one, and presently have two (including my dad's gun which I inherited when he passed) and simply cannot see scrimping. The guns cost a grand now, so why stress over a few $30 mags?

I have the 12 shot newly made magazines purchased from Brownell's they function fine.

If you don't mind a 10 round capacity, regular S&W 422/622/2206 magazines also work in the model 41. You should be able to find them at most any LGS or gun show.
