Which caliber do you own the most of?
After reading and posting on the forum for five months I started to think in terms of handgun calibers, and which one do I have the most of. After an informal count I came up with the .38 Special. There was a time when that count would have had different results. I think it probably used to be the .45 ACP, but today the .45 ACP came in second. In third came the venerable .357 magnum. There is a smattering of calibers from .22 and 5.7mm, up to .44 magnums and 50AE, with just about everything in between. Oh, there are many calibers I don't own, and several that I would like to have but don't. It's just the way it turned out.
Which caliber do you own the most of???
God bless our men and women in uniform.

If you include rimfires then .22LR wins easily. Centerfire is .357 Mag. 3 revolvers and one carbine.

Easily the .22 LR. Revolvers, pistols and rifles. I find them fun and inexpensive to shoot.

Although I go through quite a bit of 22LR the caliber I use the most of is 12 gauge.... a lot of trap shooting.

That would be the .38 Special.
Three of them at the moment, a M & P, Model 10-5 and an Outdoorsman.

Five 40's followed by three 10mms. Then one .22, one .38, one .357, one 9mm. Several years ago, I decided to try and minimize my SD calibers to only .40. You see how well that worked out.

I was going to say 22LR, but a quick check of the old inventory says that would have been wrong. For me, as far as S&W's, it's 38 spl. (by around 3-to-2) which came as a little bit of a surprise. I think that if I added my few Rugers, H&R's and 22LR rifles, those pesky rimfires may win out, but not by much. -S2

Same as the original poster but in another order: .45 ACP, .38 Special then .357 Magnum.
I don't shoot a lot of .38 Special any more, mostly a couple of Model 642's. I guess I have so many of them because S&W has made them in such a bewildering array of models, styles, sights, finishes and barrel lengths. I shoot more .45 ACP than anything else. It's both my work and pleasure workhorse. .44 Special is second. When I get more time to go shooting, I'll go back to shooting a lot of .22 LR.
Rifles, it's .308 Win./ 7.62x51 hands down. I am a big fan of the FN-FAL rifle and had 14 different variants before I began thinning the herd, besides M-14 sporters and HK-91's and clones, plus some bolt guns.
I haven't fired a shotgun in 5 or 10 years now, I think.
