Default Anyone used a Leupold 4-12x40 Rifleman scope?

I have a 20" Remington 700 that I'd like to scope. While I am an experienced (and pretty good) handgunner, I will be the first to admit that I am not a rifle guy.

I have gotten a pretty good amount of experience shooting the Leupold Mark 4 scopes (which are super cool). However, they cost at least $1,000 more than the Rifleman scopes, and I don't feel as though my proficiency justifies this.

Anyways... Most of my shooting will be done out to 200 yards or so, from the aforementioned 20" Remington 700. Does anyone have any experience with these scopes? Good/bad choice?
