the only good thing about being sick
is being able to catch up on the movie watching.
So...watched Tightrope (good movie, good Niehaus score)
Now True Grit (the 2010 version, which is good in its own right and I like the film score ver much, but E. bernstein's 1969 score was good too, love his music)
What's next?

Yeah, I was down yesterday, woke up today feeling pretty good, went out with guns blazing (figuratively speaking) and by the time I got home was worthless again.
I'll check on demand for casablanca. Good suggestion, as a change of pace. Typically my movie criteria is: good score, and must have guns, car chase, space ships, or weird supernatural phenomena--with minimal kissing.
But I'm getting westerned, cop, and hitchcocked out.
ETA: Hahahahaa!!! Jeff Bridges as Cogburn shoots like my daughter...right handed, left eyed (and yes, we worked with her to make that yes, this is her best way)

Sounds like you better watch Repo Man. It's 80s, it's cult, it's cool.

Well, it's definitely got a good score, nothing beats "As time goes by". Quite a few guns, mostly Nazi stuff. Don't remember any car chases, and no spaceships, but a good plane in the end. There is some kissing (sorry).
But the best parts of the movie are the stars. Bogie is at his best, and Ingrid Bergman...Hubba Hubba.
I'm sure she wouldn't have the same effect on you as she does on me.

No, she doesn't...but at last year's Christmas party I did blue satin dress with 40's hair. All night I was compared to Nora Charles & Ingrid Bergman. repo man was good.

LA Confidential circa 1995 with Russell Crowe is one of my favorites, check it out.
