Default Duluth Pack ads

What's up with ads for Duluth Packs? I'm seeing them here, on other "adsense" sites, in other media --- seemingly everywhere. The ads refer to some network television show. The model of pack illustrated is not the classic "Duluth" style canoeists' pack (essentially a big bag with shoulder straps and a tumpline) but a stylized version with side pockets --- not especially useful, compared to the original design, and not made with superior, modern materials. Evidently, this brand picks up some cachet from its product appearance on a TV show? I'm blissfully ignorant of much of what passes for "modern culture" such as television content --- why the ad blitz?
