Default S&W customer service

From the Smith & Wesson website:

"...Smith & Wesson is committed to providing our customers with support and services second to none."

Called them today and got a recording saying their customer service center will be down from Aug 1 to the 15th, 'please call back on Monday, August 15...thank you.'

I guess Mr. Customer Service went on vacation.

The company I retired from had a two week shut down each summer for vacation. Maybe that is what S&W is doing. Don

Hawkeye10 is correct. S&W shuts down the plant every year during the month of August to let their people have vacation time. I've used the S&W customer service policy many times over the past 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I just wish the SWHC stock price would get back up to $6 a share.
