Sip, I think I'll order one for my daughter. She can wear it when her boyfriend comes over to watch tv. One thing though, I want to keep the remote so I can activate the jacket!

"Excuse me, Mr. Attacker. Give me a moment while I find this damn key. I think it's in my purse... wait a minute ... hold on... No, maybe it's in my pocket... just back off now while I find it. Aha! I have it now. Now then... where's that hole to put it in? Somewhere in my sleeve... Let me get my reading glasses... Thanks for being so patient with me... I know it's right about.. here! Forgive me, because my hand is trembling, but I'll get it in there... THERE. Now, where is that damn button?"
Sounds a lot like the infamous S&W internal lock to me.

I foresee this garment appearing in an episode of Criminal Minds, where the wearer has been trussed up with cable ties, and is being used to torture frogs, and toast marshmallows... Records of purchases of pallets of Costco 9V batteries will be the perp's Achilles Heel...

Based on the video demo, it's not potent enough to disable the attacker....just hot enough to make him let go of the victim. That may be enough if the victim happens to be an olympic class sprinter. The test "attacker" in the video grabs the "victim" several times with no disabling effect whatsoever. Assuming the attacker has even a small amount of usable gray matter between his ears, there's nothing to keep him from disabling her with a blow to the head and then tossing the jacket in the trash. There appears to be no "stun" capability and the shock seems to me no more than the shock you would experience from getting too close to the spark plugs while working on your car...No defense at all from any kind of a blow to the head or body. The jacket needs to be potent enough to put the attacker down at the first touch and disable him long enough to allow the victim to reach a safe distance and draw her concealed S&W 500 mag....
