Here's mine with a few S&W friends. The top one is a Marlin 1897 Cowboy in .22lr with 24" octagonal barrel. The bottom one is a Marlin 1894 Cowboy in .45 Colt with a 24" octagonal barrel.

I aquired both Marlins in the past month or so. The 1897 is NIB and the 1894 is 99.9%. The Smiths are a 17-6, a 18-3 & a 25-2.

My first Winchester 30-30 I gave to my son when he was 13. My second Winchester I just sold to my brother since after the doctor rebuilt my right shoulder, I don't want to really pull the trigger on any large caliber, even a 30-30. So I'm seriously lacking in the lever gun department. No pics of it but I do have a really sweet shooting Daisy Red Ryder. Does that count?

Savage 1899 Barrel Band Carbine, circa 1930 in .30 WCF with a Lyman 66. Being fielded by my youngest son, Ryan yesterday morning. Opening Day here in Maine. The '99 was a wedding gift from his older brother and me.

I've had this Marlin 336C in .30-30 for over 35 years. There's no telling how many south Arkansas whitetails and coyotes I've taken with it.




Here's a pair of lever guns in .38/.357 magnum to go along with my S&W models 65 & 66. I love the .38/.357 magnum rifle/handgun combo, with the .38's making a dandy plinking and practice round and the .357 is a dandy deer round under a hundred yards.

Top is a EMF model 1892 saddle ring carbine with 20 inch barrel and color case hardened finish. Bottom is a last year production Winchester model 94 carbine with 16 inch barrel. Both have taken a couple of whitetails.

Yes Greg it is... just enough wear that it's entirely appropriate to hunt it, but good enough to be proud of showing it off... the fact that it's in far more common chambering, .30-30 (and not .303 Savage) is the icing on the cake!

My older brother has a very early Octagon .38-55 that he'll only let me look at on Christmas day....

Marlin 1895G .45-70 with the six ports on each side of the front sight. I love firing Garrett Cartridges 540 gr loading out of this thing !!

http:// i know this this is and old post but i saw the barrel band carbine and thought it was a nice one. so i thought i would show my 303 savage. it is all original and the finish is about 95% the barrel looks new, and it shoots great with my handloads.

Misty - nice looking 9422! These are some of my favorite .22s. Winchester really beefed up their quality when they started making these; too bad they are no longer made.

I just completed an article on the 9422s and submitted it to the Blue Press. I don't know when it will be published. If you want, PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you a copy of the file in advance.

Here's a couple of mine in .22LR. I also have one in .22 magnum (not pictured). All of them are extremely accurate, reliable, and nice looking guns.

OK, I've just browsed through 7 pages of lever guns. Almost all with pretty standard straight grain walnut. I can now say with no hesitation that Misty has the stock with the best figure! Way back on page 1. Check it out.

Just have the one Model 94, post 64 in .30-30.

I always passed them by on the used gun rack when they were dirt cheap, then they got pricey when Winchester stopped making them.

So when I saw this one for $250 I didn't hesitate.

I guess I don't have a pic of my Marlin 39A and I'm too lazy to go get it. Here's my Marlin 1897 Cowboy (.22lr). This picture sucks, but it is wicked cool. Has an octagonal barrel.




I also have a Winchester 1894 Limited Edition Centennial. I'm not big on commemoratives, but this gun is pretty nice and I bought it right.

Marlin 1895s in .444 Marlin. Barrel cut to 16.5 inches.

Guess I forgot about my Marlin 1894C. Don't have pics of it, either. It's nothing fancy, but the .357 Marlin levers are kinda hard to find. Mine was made in the old Marlin plant before Remington bought Marlin and moved production. I think some old Marlin guys prefer the guns from the original plant.

One of the last top eject Model 94 Winchesters, serial number puts it at 1983. Some honest hunting wear, looks like new on the internal parts. shoots good, too. Now I have enough Winchester lever actions to arm a posse!

Very nice! Those are two uncommon and quite valuable models. Not sure I've ever seen a "T" in 30-30. That is also some beautiful wood on the EG. I am not really accurate in saying the EG is uncommon, but the 250s sure command a premium over the 300 Savages.

Winchester 1894 in 38-55, born in 1921. Still gets out during deer season. Can someone please tell me how to insert the photo in the body of the message, vs. a thumbnail???

Here is the special order first year .250/3000. It was delivered to J. Dep. Lynch, corporate secretary of Savage at that time. According to the Savage letter, it went back to the factory four times; by then it belonged to Fred J. Rath, mayor of Utica, NY in the thirties, and NY state senator in the early fifties.

I have a Savage 99 that was made in the 1950 or 60. I and I love it the rotary magazine was many years ahead of it's time. Mr. Savage was genius. I am not able to post pics.

The information does not include the work done, however, the barrel has been replaced with a somewhat later version, so that presumably is one of the work orders.

I have tree myself: Marlin 39A, and two 1894's - one in .357 magnum and one in 44 magnum. The 39A has a Skinner peep site on her.

All 3 are dead accurate and I love to shoot them!

Hope you don't mind me reposting your pictures. I don't have pictures of my stainless Wild West .45/70 Guide Gun but it is the twin of yours except mine doesn't have the big loop lever and does have a guide mounted Leupold in Wild West QD mounts with a back-up ghost ring. Very quick target acquisition. Most dangerous thing I have taken with it is a Texas whitetail, but I agree with you viper, if a big brownie ever comes to town, this will be the one I will pick up first!

I found mine several years ago in a tiny gun shop up in the mountains of NM (Capitan, I think). Probably paid too much but fell in love with it and haven't regretted it for a minute. It is an early Wild West Guns Custom but had seen very little, if any, use. I just replaced the mag follower with one that will handle the Lever Revolution rounds so I am eager to get back out in the field with it. Previously, I had to load the first round with an old flat nosed round to assure that it would feed properly.

I'd love to get to Anchorage to visit the Wild West Guns Shop. Any of the others of you have any of their custom work?

While looking today at a several gun shops I ran into this NOS w/box, a Rossi M92 .45LC at an unreal price, couldn't turn it down so it came home with me !

Now to get my Marlin .45LC as soon as my main gun shop gets them back in stock.

S&W .500 Magnums RULE !

this is another one of mine. it is an EG model in 308 factory drilled for scope. made 1958 it has nice wood. and it is a tack driver with varget and a 150 gr. rem. cl it hase a vintage 3x9 redfield scope.

Found an unmolested 336 in 35 Rem today. Made in '65:

that is one nice marlin! i love 336s i have a few. my favorite one is a 444s with my handloads with 300 gr. hornady xtp hp. it is very deadly and accurate. i am sure that 35 will be two.

Here's my two, a Winchester 1894 in .32-40 from 1916.


And a Winchester 1892 in .25-20 from 1899.
