Clifton stock with internal bipod. Show yours........
I was looking in one of my old gun rags some time ago, and there was a green(?) rifle with a black forend cap that pulled out (in two pieces,I believe) and stuck into the front bottom of the forearm for a bipod. For the life of me, I can't find it with Google or anywhere else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks........And this is where the last part of my signature line comes in.... Well, I found it later in the thread. It is a Brent Clifton stock and they are no longer made. Please show yours or info on it/them.

Was it the Sauer version of the "Scout" rifle? Edited to answer my own question --- The Sauer Scout rifle was offered in a green synthetic stock, and featured an internal bipod. There may have been others, but this fits your description...

Not it, but you are correct in the question as I asked it. This was a very standard bolt gun with a special stock. It looked very factory 'til you pulled out the bipod legs. Seems it was Bob Milek shooting the rifle, but can't swear to it.

There's the Kel Tec SU-16. The only ones I've seen are black tho. Kinda cool. Takes standard AR mags is featureless. ie... No bullet button.

It sounds like the Steyr Scout Rifle. They were designed with advice from Jeff Cooper and used the forward scope mounts. The bipod was plastic and looked like forearm insets until pulled out fro deployment. The barrel was a short twenty inch for quick handling. An extra detachable magazine was stored in the buttstock.
They were a neat concept but expensive and they did not sell many. Most were in 308 but other calibers were offered.
