Show us your deal of the week - post some pics and show it off, whatever it is!
I'll start. I just picked up this mid-80's Colt Agent Lightweight Agent from a local hardware store. It's one of the rough finished parkerized versions that Colt put out to hit a lower price point and attract new buyers. Anyway, the store had it marked $249.99 but dropped it 10% when pressed and I ended up paying $236.24 after taxes. No box or anything but it looks like it was never fired, until yesterday anyway. I ran a box through it and it shoots great, plenty accurate and easy to handle. Didn't need another snubby but there's no way I was passing it up for that price!

You happened to ask this on the rare week when I did get a deal the other day. I've already written this one up but it's a 1978 27-2 with a 3 1/2" barrel that I got for $500. These are very scarce in Ca. and it's illegal to buy one from out of state.
BTW. That's a phonomenal price you got that Colt for. It's just a Colt Detective Special in tank top and cutoffs. I've always liked those and they practically just gave it to you.

Possible 1600's Bulge kettle from Glasgow. Found in Soon Maine. These are called Gypsy kettles. This one is small, just one gallon. Forty Dollars...
Hey, you didn't say it had to be a gun... .

Long time ago I had one just like this one. It was stolen out of my truck (window smashed out) in downtown Fort Worth. Had the hardest time trying to get the police to even take a report. Wish I still had that pistol. Very nice example you have there and you got it at a bargin price. Have fun shooting her.

Ha! I've been eyeing that one in your other post, that was a wicked good deal!! I would have hurt myself going for my wallet if I'd come across it.

I can't show mine. Wife confsicated it and said it was my Christmas present and hid it. A 1943 Colt-made, martially marked 1911, carried by a career officer. The owner of the gunshop is a friend and he took a history of all the battles it was carried in. I gotta go see him and get it (He wasn't at the shop). When I walked in, three sales clerks ran over to tell me about it.

Yesterday was a very good day for me and my LGS. Ordered a Rossi Ranch Hand in .44 mag, and a Bushmaster A3/M4 Type Carbine AR in 6.8. Here is what they will look like when they arrive.

Nickel .357 Magnum..
It was a good day at the gun show..
Worked an even swap for an " Extra" .38 Spl. 4" Diamondback I had.. for this 1954/55 .357 Magnum 3 1/2" Nickel..
The Smith needed a LOT of attention.. as the innards were packed with grease ( Moly B ) I think.. It had been re-nickeled by the factory in 1968..
Excellent, correct grips but not numbered, a couple of small pin.. head size blems in the finish.
Shooter no doubt.. exactly what I was looking for..
Well to make a long story short... swapped him even for the Pre 27..
Four hours later cleaning.. three runs through the Ultra-Sonic, after DE-greasing and a good Hot Ultra-Sonic water displacing oil bath, re-assembled, a little Flitz.. and a good coat of Ren-Wax.... and all was well.
I may just take the Magnas off.. I know I got a set of Targets and a set of COKES sitting in the safe It would cover up the " Grip Line " on the side plates..

Man, you guys have been holding out! Nobody ever mentions most of these treasures. Love the nickel 27, I'm dying to see pics of the 1911, and the pre-14 is definitely a smokin' deal at $400. This is great stuff, we need to keep this thread going!
Gizamo! When's that brunswick stew going to be ready? You're somewhere out my way aren't you?

It must have been the weekend for .45Colt lever guns. I picked up an 1894 in .45Colt at Cabelas. I had a 10% off coupon so it was under $500 before tax.

I bought a pair of new original factory mufflers for my Triumph motorcycle. From a Triumph dealer they are about $420 each. I paid $100 plus $22 for shipping. They may not be a gun, but it saves me money to buy another gun.

Well Giz, you now have me wondering, where in the heck is "Soon" Maine. Lived here my whole life, still hearing new town names, but never heard of "Soon" Closest I can guess is Solon.

Tiny good deals
This is my first post, so pardon me if I screw this up. I bought these 2 little beauties today for $450. The revolver is a 32S&W long RP, unsure of the year yet. The Colt is in the box with the original bill of sale from 1993. Both could use a good cleaning, but neither have been fired much.

Please tell me that is 450 each not for both - you could get double that for the Colt!

I told this forum of an old Mossberg 800CV, bull barrel factory varminter, in 22-250. Had my buddy Stoney recut crown, bed action, adjust non-adjustable trigger. Stoney takes the gun with K8 Weaver and shoots two groups under .300", his reloads. No BS. Since I didn't shoot these groups I can brag. I paid $250 for gun and Simmons scope. Total cost so far is $590.

Sounds like there's plenty of great deals getting snatched up out there!
I got this one from another forum member a week or two ago for $350. It's a 65-6 that's in great shape and is heck of a shooter. All I did was clean it up and swap the grips for the Altamonts that were on my 646. I'm very pleased with this one, she's a keeper!

The wife is JUST NOW starting to show some interest in shooting sports. She doesn't know about it yet but I traded my way into this SIG Mosquito today (from the original owner and her husband). Total investment = $159. I figure it will make a great starter gun. I think it was a VERY good deal.

OK, so it's not quite a week. I couldn't help myself and bought the last of the 5 "estate guns." When I got home my wife made me fill her car as penance, $50 just about made me cry. The grips number to the gun, the finish is pretty rough. Again, not shot much. I guess $200 (+$50 for the gas) ain't too bad. I used to be a lot sneakier, sucks to be old. Joe

Actually, it was last Monday's deal. Picked up a 10-5 (Serial #C939XXX) snub that hadn't been shot much at all but spent most of it's life sitting somewhere in a damp place!!!
It has many rust spots on it but some are coming out. One bugger on the front of the barrel that I'm still thinking about how to fix...Anyway got it for $125. I call it my Lab Experiment!
