My General Patton Two Gun Set..Almost
Well, my short 27-2 is home and here it is teamed up with my Colt to get me as close to Patton's gun's as I can. Sorry, no ivory. Those are old sambar stags. I think Patton would let me slide on that.

Fine looking revolvers. Gen. Patton had excellent taste in revolvers as you two do.

You just have to get the Patton hoster from El Paso Saddlery. According to them, they originally made it for Patton.

I believe S.D. Meyers made General Patton's holsters and belt. He carried his engineer's compass in a leather handcuff case.
El Paso Saddlery does make a duplicate of the S.D. Meyers leather that General Patton wore.
Most people believe that he wore both revolvers all the time. I believe there may be only once or twice when he wore both. Most of the pictures I've seen, show him with one or the other.

I wouldn't doubt you. I just go by what I read.

Gettin' there...
OK, so I've got the 4.75" SAA, the 3.5" Mod. 27, and just "won" the El Paso "Patton" rig on FleaBay. Now all I need is a LH "Patton" holster from El Paso for the 27-2...life is good. I forgot about those engraved Uberti SAA's...that one looks mighty nice. Maybe some faux ivory grips- Hmm....
I'll try and post some pics of the rig one of these days!

Although those two are the most famous he actually didn't wear either that often and mostly preferred carrying the Remington 51 in .380 or the Colt 1903 and 1908 hammerless in .32 and .380 and even a snub nosed Colt .38 spl. He complained the others were too heavy. Patton was all about the image, and it wasn't always true to life. The peacemaker and the 27 were for show when he knew the cameras were on him, but he really didn't like lugging them around; he had a 1911 also, but considered too heavy as well.
Funny for a guy who said such things about the M-1 Garand.

El Paso Saddlery is the delinial decendant of Myers [Tio Sam] Saddlery and has every right to claim their "blood line". Just like your children or grandchildren. They ARE the real deal. Nick
