Another Great Range Day...Daughter and Grandson
The nice weather has arrived! I got to the range three times today. First with a buddy and a new shooter...then another friend came out....finally, I took Lara and her son Kylar (and my 4yr-old grandson) out to shoot. I let Lara pick the guns...she went with the M-1 Carbine, S&W M&P Post-war - 6", and a Ruger Mk-1 5" Bull. Kylar's gun, a Savage Cub.
Here are a few pics...
Reeda, one of the Range Dogs joined in...she's a 13 year-old German Short-haired Pointer...(retired)...
Kylar & GrandBob get the Savage ready to go...
Kylar having fun...
Kylar and his mom. Lara got her training with me several years ago (when she was 17)...I expect/predict she can out shoot many of us!
Lara with the M&P...
She does not miss those plates and shoots them about twice as fast as I can/do...
With the Carbine...
She LOVED this little carbine (also my son's favorite)!
Next trip to the range, I'm going to have to have some .30 Carbine reloads ready to go!
I did not manage to snap any pics of Lara with the Ruger Mk-1...you'd think with 20+ magazines all full at the git-go I'd have walked away with a pic or two.

Howdy VFM! It's been a while since I have chatted with you. I see you have a new range dog. Looks like a great time at the range was had by all. You did good by teaching those young ones right! Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
PS, Do you still load for that Dan Wesson?
Hope all is well with you and yours.

Thanks for the kind words.
WG840,
It has been a while. Yes, I do still reload for DWs...I still have your bullets too....I have not done any SuperMag reloading (much any way) and need to throw some loads together. I'd like to whack a white-tail with it!
2fingers,
It was a great day. Our entire week is slated to be wonderfully temperate! The shooting buddies have been calling to shoot.
LedFowl,
Thanks. we all had a great time.
brucev,
Memories and pics to help me remember!
Vartag,
Yes sir, she's my third Shorthair. She loves the farm and is a love-bug.

You have some beautiful youngins there. Glad to see you are teaching them about guns at an early age. Looks like your daughter will be able to take care of herself with that M1 Carbine.

Thanks for the kind replies.
Bicky Robby,
All young (and old ones like me) shooters enjoy the Carbines....they have a high "cool coefficient" with limited recoil.
MOONDAWG,
I am blessed to have a place where I can shoot and help others. This week and next, one of our county Conservation Agents will be using the range to work on his skills for his National competition. He's a good guy!

VonFatman, thanks for posting the pics. My oldest son just turned 4 years old, and can't wait until he can go shooting with me. He just got a bb gun for his birthday. Have to get something set up for a bench and rest.

At this age (4), the rest is a must. It makes the experience much more fun and success with the targets is a plus too.

Nice job, Bob! A good time had by all, and your grandson will probably remember the day forever. A friend of mine starts his childre early, too. Might as well introduce them to as much as possible.
They'll not have things they don't trust juct because they've never seen
similar. Thanks for sharing and the pics. Great family occasion!

Bob,
Wanted to let you know. Yesterday was my 4 year old first day of pre-school. Took the day off, and in the afternoon he spent an hour or so de-priming the .45acp brass, that you so graciously raffled. He loves reloading "boolits!"
