Well, it finally happened....
The safe is full. I tried to clean it out and I can't get everything back in. Anyone got a loaner until I can find a new one?

Decisions, decisions. First, maybe its time to divest yourself (as in sell down) parts of your collection. I'm not advocating you waste the money after the sale, I'm just figuring maybe its time to upgrade the quality.
Path two would be for you to engage in a building spree. Like make a room of adequate size. If you've got a basement, take over one corner. If you don't have a basement, time to build a bomb/tornado shelter. In either case, one big enough to hold all the guns, ammo, and live comfortably in the evenings. Heat, AC, cable TV (but no telephone to bother with.)

Don't think that hasn't crossed my mind. And if I call it a "Safe Room" or a "Tornado Shelter", I just might be able to get it past the wife.

My safe got full, so I bought another one. Now that it's full, the wife and I are in negotiations. She wants an office built onto the back of the house. I agree, as long as we extend the basement to include a "safe room/tornado shelter" beneath said office. I should have been a lawyer.
