Latest reviews says the ZIPPERS get blown out quickly, maybe a bad batch of zippers used in the late model constructions.

I'd be curious to see how fully the bag was loaded when the zippers blew out. Be useful to know if the zipper itself had broken teeth, or if the stitching holding the zipper to the bag came undone. Mine is from April of this year; I load it pretty heavy and so far have had no problems. I guess we'll see.

I like Midway's bags. I have two Compact Competition bags. Have had one for several years and it's held up real well. I recently bought a couple Midway soft pistol cases. They're well padded, have 7 mag pouches and two zippered side compartments. They slip right into the Compact Competition range bag and help keep things from getting cluttered...

Had mine for several months and find it's just what I need to carry everything to the range. I repack it every time I return from shooting and it's ready to go. In fact I call it my "go bag" for when a friend calls and wants to go shooting. Just pick out my guns and ammo, put them in the bag, and go. As for quality, no problems so far. For Forty Bucks you can't go wrong.

That Midaway bag is a very good range bag, especially for the price.

Best bag for the money out there. I have had mine for a long time and no problems. Well actually there is one, I pack so much stuff in it, it weighs a ton! I carry the ammo bag separate and can just take the gun rugs and ammo to the shooting station.

I've had one for about 5 years now and it's still going strong with no problems. They're a good bag, especially when on sale.

Me too. My old bag is just an ammo carrier now. Way too much weight for any single bag if I try to put it all in one. Plus, that way I'm balanced carrying them both instead of listing to port when I walk.

Sip... thanks for sharing on the range bag sale. Now if I could just find a range for sale I'd have a match.

Don't know about the range bag, but I do like Larry Potterfield. He's always smiling! Then again, I would be too if I owned Midway!

I have had the Midway bag for several years. It was a good deal then and it's a good deal now. Don

You know, I wonder if he actually get as much time to shoot and do things as we might imagine. He does have a company to run. Hopefully he has good people that let him get away to do the fun stuff.

I've used this bag for about 5 years now and it has held up well. Only thing that could be improved is if it had wheels and an engine, cause at my age that thing is a heavy beast to carry up the hill to the firing line when it's fully loaded.

I picked one up a couple of years ago. It sees a fair amount of use and seems to be holding up well. My zippers are fine, thank you.
I keep it "loaded" will all my range gear so all I have to do is drop in a gun, grab an ammo can and go.
I use the internal bag during matches to carry my stuff around (ammo, keys, phone, snuff, etc.) because the bag is pretty large to lug around all day.
AND, I like the brass bag too!
AND, it makes a pretty good rest when shooting a rifle from the bench. Not great, but good.

I've got one kicking around in the garage. I think I've had it since 2007. Most people are happy with their Midway bags whenever the subject comes up. In years past, they could be had for 30 dollars regularly, sometimes for 20. Every now and again there would even be a promo that would net one free.
It wouldn't be a huge surprise if some did have bad zippers. Just happens sometimes. I imagine that Midway would offer a replacement. Every now and again someone would get one that would burst a seam or have some other defect too. QC can't catch all the problems.

Ordered mine today. I think it will be a lot more convenient than the NRA wooden box I currently carry to the range.

Buy a cheap Wally World black suitcase with wheels and a handle. You have a porta range bag!
But the Midway bag lets you be stylin' . I like to look good when shooting badly.

The WW suitcase is not a bad idea. The next time I attend the NRA Convention I'll be using a big one. This year I used a backpack and by the end of the day I almost couldn't stand up and walk because of all the handouts.
